	Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Augustana University College Briercrest Bible College Concordia University College of Alberta Grant MacEwan Community College Mount Royal College Northern Alberta Institute of Technology Red Deer College Southern Alberta Institute of Technology Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Cambrian College Conestoga College Humber College St. Clair College Seneca College Sir Sandford Fleming College Under the guidance of The Canadian College Athletic Association (CCAA), two athletic conferences within Canada participate in hockey - the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference and the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association. There are 14 teams in total that play within the two conferences. Canadian college hockey is gaining a reputation as being and extremely competitive league by often competing against CIS teams and doing quite well. The CCAA offers its players a chance to study specific skills and trades while still being able to play quality hockey. Many CCAA players move on to both the CIS as well as the professional ranks.
