With a population of 75 000, PG has a wide selection of activities outside of hockey. It has a large number of restaurants, movie theatres, and places to shop. With its population growing fast, PG was granted Canada's latest university - the University of Northern British Columbia. Prince George is proud of its hockey and its tradition. In proof of this, PG has two prospering junior teams representing both the WHL and the BCHL.
