The Central Hockey League (CHL) has seen major changes since the summer of 2001. Having amalgamated with the WPHL, the CHL has taken the steps to strengthen the financial position of the league and improve upon regionally rivalries. For the 2003-2004 season, 17 member teams will be split into two conferences and four divisions.
The CHL is a developmental league that offers players the experience of playing professionally and at the same time developing skills that will get them to the next level. The CHL is an exciting brand of hockey, and with its new divisional alignment, will undoubtedly experience great fan and community support.
