It salutes Canada's pioneers and is proud of its Norwegian heritage. The Big Valley Jamborie Country Festival is a major draw in August. Camrose is also home each year to the Viking Cup, an international hockey tournament put on by Augustana University College. The tournament features Junior 'A' all-star teams from the AJHL, BCHL, MJHL, and the SJHL, as well as National Under 18 teams from the Czech Republic, Finland, Slovakia, Sweden, and the U.S., and the host team, the Augustana Vikings.
