Rebound

The game of Rebound is an oldie but goodie, and as always, it's an after practice game that will help you to develop as a player while having fun doing so. For players, rebound offers the opportunity of working on your shot as well as your passing, while for goalies, it allows you to work on your rebound control as well as your angles. However, the best part of the game is that it pitts players against goalies!!!

Here's how it works:
  1. You'll need between 2 - 6 players and one goalie.
  2. Gather a bunch of pucks & place them around the hash marks in front of the net.
  3. Players line up with one shooter at the hash marks and the rest of the players position themselves for the rebound.
  4. The player at the hash marks shoots a puck trying to score or trying to create a rebound. The goalie is trying to make the save and then cover the puck.
  5. First team to 10 wins. The prize is generally bragging rights plus a juice to the winning team or goalie. i.e. players win, goalie gets 1 juice for every player, goalie wins, goalie gets a juice from every player.
Rules:
  1. The game is up to 10. 1 point is awarded to the players team for a goal. 1 point is awarded to the goalie for a covered puck. Note: The player at the hash marks shoots until the goalie makes a save and covers the puck, then the players switch positions with a counter clock wise rotation.
  2. If the shooter misses the net or the puck crosses the goal line or is cleared past the top of the face-off circles, the goalie is awarded a point.
  3. Players are only allowed one pass then they must shoot the puck. This goes for all shots on net, including shots generated off of a rebound. i.e. Initial shot creates a rebound, player can either shoot or make one pass, the player who gets the pass shoots which creates another rebound, that player can either shoot or pass, etc, etc.
It's our hope that through the game of Rebound you'll be able to enjoy some friendly competition amongst teammates. Have fun and enjoy the game!
