PIG

We at PlayYourGame.com are excited to bring the game of "PIG" to your attention. Using after practice games to develop your skills is one of the best ways to develop as a player. PIG is a game that will help you with that goal. It will allow you to work on the accuracy of your shot, and at the same time, enjoy some friendly competition with your teammates.

Here's how it works:
  1. Gather a bunch of pucks and place them around the hash marks in front of the net. No goalie is needed for PIG.
  2. The normal amount of players participating is between two and six.
  3. Shooting in order, the players take turns shooting for the two posts and then the crossbar. Each player continues to shoot until they miss. Note: The posts must be hit in the air and not along the ice for the shot to count.
  4. The last player to hit all of the targets loses. The normal price of losing the game is that the loser has to provide the other players with a juice after practice...and the winner gets the bragging rights!
We encourage you to really try to focus on keeping your eyes on your target while shooting. This will help you in your games as well, because shooting with your head up will become second nature to you. If you're able to keep your eyes on the goal, you'll allow yourself to shoot where the goalie isn't. We wish you the best of luck, and we hope that you enjoy the game of PIG.
